Hello!

My name is Cheryl Smith. I’ve been your Laurelhurst neighbor since 2005 and I’m pleased to offer my exclusive cat and housesitting services to you. I do a lot of volunteer work for the Oregon Humane Society. I have worked in the cattery, fostered numerous sick kittens, worked as a surgery assistant in the medical center and do photography for the OHS website. Matter of fact, all the pictures you see here are photographs I have taken (for more photographs like these, have a look at my website). I am an avid gardener and own a 100 year old Craftsman bungalow which my husband and I have been restoring since we bought it. We also travel a lot which brings me to the purpose for establishing this business:

When you travel, the last thing you want to be concerned about is whether your animals and home are safe and sound.

I know what it’s like worrying about your critters and your house when you are away. You could hire a neighbor kid to come in and feed your kitties but would they scoop boxes regularly or spend more than 10 seconds giving them the attention they crave?  Would they notice a water leak or some other mechanical on the fritz or plants that need a drink? Would they remember to come by at all without prompting from mom?

My service takes the worry out of the time you are away. I am a homeowner and pet lover and care about animal welfare. Let me take care of that for you so you can enjoy your time away, confident that all is well back home.
